APS DEEDS TRANSFERRED

Shortly after Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms takes office, she releases the property deeds from the City of Atlanta to Atlanta Public Schools (APS), ended multi-year dispute with the previous administration.

POTENTIAL LOCATION FOR RCV

After an extensive search, the Arkwright Elementary School property is identified as a potential location for RYSE Creative Village’s first location.

LETTER OF INTENT ISSUED TO APS

RYSE begins the purchase process on the former Arkwright property, issuing a Letter of Intent to APS.

RYSE RECEIVES NPU SUPPORT

After months of meeting with community residents, RYSE leadership receives a unanimous vote from NPU-S in support of the RYSE Creative Village project, issuing a Letter of Support to APS.

BOARD OF EDUCATION VOTE

The Board of Education vote to approve APS entering into contract with RYSE for the potential sale of the Arkwright property.
